The hotel is in a great location. We were going to the Lyceum to watch a show and had booked into Miller and Carter for dinner, so the hotel couldn't have been better placed for us. The receptionist who booked us in was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. The communal areas are quite nice and the side of the building looks out into the Winter Gardens. We had booked two rooms which were opposite each other on the 4th floor. One room looked over the Winter Gardens and we could also see the Crucible and Lyceum. The other room looked over the Millenium Square - both really good views. The rooms were quite basic though, and quite tired looking in places. I didn't feel that the rooms matched up to communal areas.

The hotel was very good and the position perfectly we had a really good view from our bedroom window of the Christmas market and townhall. I am from sheffield it's s second home for me so can say the position of the hotel was perfect. I did feel the room.could do with a bit of tlc as the lamp shade was cracked and a couple of tiles in the bathroom where broken. Also there was blood on the wall.by the wardrobes. But all in all we were pleased with the room .as it is 30 years since my daughter had visited sheffield. The girl on reception was very helpful and polite but we did find the young man rather abrupt. After all this we will.return to the hotel possibly later in the year.

From the start, communication was great. So helpful being told about the car parks nearby and thank you for the discount code! Great location, right in the centre. 3 minutes from the car park was a great help in the rain too. Room is massive, so clean and everything you need. Plus extra tea and milk when needed, thank you. Staff are absolutely amazing. Quick and easy check in and out and thank you so much for fitting us in for breakfast too! Much appreciated. Sorry I can’t remember names, but reception staff and the lady in the restaurant were so helpful and accommodating. Great stay, will definitely stay again. Sadly didn’t have time to use the Spa, next time!

Upon arrival, the front desk was unstaffed, which didn't bother me. A member of staff arrived within a few seconds and apologised, to which I joked: "It's okay, but I'll take a free drink with that apology!", to which she said, "Sure!". Me and my partner were presented with two free drinks vouchers and a warm, friendly, light-hearted exchange for the duration of our check-in. The woman in question (glasses, very pretty) was a joy, and I thank you for the elite welcome! Elsewhere, the room was clean, tidy, spacious and brilliantly priced for such an exceptional location — right in the heart of the city. Bravo!

Lovely hotel in a gorgeous location next to the winter gardens. our room faced the Christmas markets so was beautiful to look out on too. Hotel very clean and room was very spacious. 12pm checkout was great as saves the rushing about in a morning or having to wake up early. We paid £10 each to use the swimming pool and thermal suite which really made our stay - we woke up in the morning and went down to the spa which was just what we needed. I would recommend as you can use swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms, ice room and experience shower. Excellent facilities and would return. again .
